Descripción de la oferta: The Activities Coordinator will report to the Director of the summer camp and will work in partnership with the Academic Coordinator. The Activities Coordinator may also report to King´s College S.L. Camps and Activities Director.

Administrative and management responsibilities
• Respect the guidelines set down by King’s College S.L.
• Ensure that the use of English is employed at all times with the children and staff at the school during the course.
• Be prepared to follow a flexible working timetable.
• Attend the Director’s Meeting in Madrid.
• Create and organise the course timetables (Games and Sports, Workshops, Excursions, Staff duties, Days off etc.) to be sent to the General Director before the Training Day.
• Assist the General Director if necessary to organise and prepare the information session for the Course Training Day.
• Check the lists of materials/resources needed for the Courses before the start of the camp and inform the General Director of any missing items.
• Once the course is underway, any requests for additional materials/replenishments must be sent in writing to the General Director.
• Complete a lesson observation for every monitor.
• Maintain contact/inform the Bus Monitors of any problems/changes that may affect the schedule on the Residential and Non-residential Course.
• Check with the nurse, teachers and monitors for any special health care or medication a child may need during the Course (inform the General Director).
• Create the timetables and class lists for the optional activities with the instructors and lifeguards of the optional classes.
• Prepare and organise the excursions included in the Course.
• Unpacking and packing with teachers and monitors of course material (start and end of the course).
• Cover monitors if they are unable to attend due to health issues.
• Provide feedback to the Course Director on the running and progress of the English Classes (Projects) and Activities.

Monitoring during the course
• Offer help and advice to monitors on both a practical and personal level, assisting with the preparation of sports classes: providing photocopies or other materials as and when they are needed.
• Hold daily meetings with your staff.
• Ensure that monitors are applying an appropriate methodology to their teaching both in and out of the activities or projects and utilising suitable material for the age and level of their students.
• Appoint teachers and monitors to work in partnership on project-based classes together with the Academic Coordinator.
• Programme and coordinate the weekend activities together with the Academic Coordinator.
• Set up and participate in evening activities.

General course duties

• Maintain an awareness of fire, health and safety regulations.
• Be responsible for the well-being of the children and staff of the Courses.
• Be prepared, when necessary, to take a child from Course to the nearest Health Centre or hospital.
• Work as part of a team.
• Ensure that all staff follows the timetable, maintaining punctuality.
• Maintain parent/teacher contact (on site, via telephone or email).
• Ensure that any doubts or complaints from the parents or tutors, are dealt rapidly.
• Ensure the uniform provided by King’s College S.L. is worn at all times by teachers and monitors.
• Ensure that all staff maintains good standards of personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
• Complete a Daily Incident and Parents Complaint Sheet to be given to the Director-Department of Language Courses in Spain upon request.
• Chaperone the students on organised excursions within the camp programme.
• Ensure that interns know their responsibilities and are prepared to actively participate in the camps activities.
• Carry the coordinator’s phone at all times and make sure it is fully charged so you are reachable and accesible 24/7.
• Carry the Summer Camp phone (coordinator or director) when needed and answer parent’s calls.
• Do transfers to/from the airport when and if needed.
• Make sure the premises are closed once the non-residential participants have left (if applicable).

Ensure and supervise the following duties are monitored safely and correctly by all members of staff
• Supervise pool duties with the lifeguards at the swimming pool.
• Accompany children to the dining room and assist them at breakfast, lunchtime and dinnertime.
• Supervision of children at break times as and when required.
• Supervision of children during offsite excursions.
• Be available each day for parent pick up and the registering of children for the bus routes.
• Ensure that children are given adequate care when feeling unwell or injured.
• Ensure allergic children are having an appropriate and balanced diet (special care when on excursions).
