For the 2020 - 2021 academic year, SEK International School Ciudalcampo needs to incorporate a Diploma Chemistry Teacher.

Job Objectives:
鈥 Identify and promote core learning skills and teaching strategies in DP. Plan and deliver English teaching which ensures learning for all students.
鈥 Encourage best practice through support, advice and training across school.
Reports to:
鈥 Head of department
鈥 DP Coordinator
鈥 Head of learning and teaching
鈥 Head of school.

Responsibilities:
鈥 Plan, prepare, develop and deliver courses of study in English to a range of classes according to the school curriculum guidelines, school requirements, the IB Diploma Programme guidelines.
鈥 Develop and present lesson plans by using a variety of teaching models and techniques in the subject areas. Use of relevant technology to support teaching.
鈥 Manage, control and operate course provisions for the teaching of your subject.
鈥 Collaborate with other teachers to revise, develop and write new vertical and horizontal curriculum documents, assessment and evaluation, and reporting, as required.
鈥 Keep up to date with international developments in the subject area, as well as teaching practice and methodology.
鈥 Observe, monitor and assess students鈥 learning and progress. Prepare assignments and tests of assessment, homework, and other projects.
鈥 Model inquiry practice in the classroom and the IB learner profile.
鈥 Differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of diverse students, based on their academic ability and previous achievement.
鈥 Maintain accurate and complete records of student鈥檚 academic progress and achievement.
鈥 Communicate student progress and evaluations with parents.
鈥 Maintain good student behaviour in the classroom and on school premises in accordance with the IB Learner Profile and the school鈥檚 disciplinary policies.
鈥 Prepare the classroom environment and maintain a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment.
鈥 Take on class tutorship role and support students individually and as a group, through their academic and personal difficulties.
鈥 Use relevant ICT to support teaching and learning, as per school policies and expected methodologies.
鈥 Prepare students for qualifications and external examinations.
鈥 Participate in school and staff meetings and professional development opportunities, as well as other school wide and institutional events.
鈥 Be willing to participate, cooperate and possibly lead other initiatives in school related to developing the school culture, leadership among the students and promotion of school values, such as projects, field trips, events and pastoral care of students, as a way to effectively meet the personal, social (wellbeing) and academic needs of students and staff.

Experiencia mínima: Sí, 2/3 a帽os

Otros requisitos: - Chemistry or relevant university degree.
- PGCE in Secondary education (M谩ster del profesorado de Secundaria o CAP).
- At least 2 -3 years of experince teaching this subject
- Native or near native English speaker
- International experience and knowledge of the International Programs will be valued.
- Updated Sexual Nature Crime Certificate
- European Passport o Visa to work in Europe
