- Description: At SEK Catalunya International School, we are looking for a PYP Teacher to cover a temporary position starting in August 2026.
Mission
Empowering students to become proficient communicators, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners through the exploration of inquiry-based learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and global-mindedness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement teaching plans for the transdisciplinary and disciplinary units.
Attend department meetings and participate in collaborative planning sessions.
Take part in standardizing assessment tasks.
Contribute to curriculum research and improvement.
Stay updated on the PYP Scope and Sequence.
Communicate students\' progress to parents.
Attend school activities such as festivals and Open Days.

Plan effective classes and teaching sequences.
Adapt teaching to the individual needs of students.
Utilize various teaching methods and educational resources.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

What We Offer
Temporary contract.
Start date: 27 August 2026.
Working schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 9:30 a.m. – 5:10 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Salary in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements
- Requirements: Bachelor\'s Degree in Primary Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
Previous teaching experience, preferably within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
Native English speaker or native speaker level.
Spanish and/or Catalan will be valued.
Microsoft Office user.
Experience with educational platforms to enhance classroom dynamics and support collaboration with the teaching team will be appreciated.
