- Description: We are looking to appoint a Business Teacher to join our team from the end of August 2026.
Mission:
Develop students critical thinking, analytical and ethical decision-making skills. Through the teaching of Business, the successful candidate will guide students in understanding real-world economic and organisational concepts, preparing them to thrive in complex global business environments.
The role aims to foster intellectual curiosity, intercultural understanding and a well-rounded perspective, empowering students to apply their knowledge in practical and ethical ways in both local and global contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend department meetings and participate in collaborative planning sessions.
- Develop and implement teaching plans for Business and other areas within the Humanities Department.
- Provide individualised support and constructive feedback to students, promoting academic growth and addressing diverse learning needs.
- Mentor and guide students through their Extended Essays (EE) and Internal Assessments (IA), supporting them in setting goals, conducting research and refining their work.
- Participate in the standardisation of assessment tasks.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
- Keep up to date with the requirements and guidelines of the International Baccalaureate programmes taught at the school.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students\' academic progress and personal development.
We Offer:
- Start date: 27 August 2026.
- Opportunity to take on the role of Form Tutor.
- Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 9:30 a.m. – 5:20 p.m. Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Requirements: Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably within one or more International Baccalaureate programmes (Diploma Programme, MYP and/or Career-related Programme) teaching Business or Economics.
- Native or near-native level of English.
- Spanish and Catalan will be considered an asset.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
- Experience using educational technology platforms to enhance teaching and learning will be highly valued.

- Salary: According to the Secondary Education Collective Agreement, plus Baccalaureate allowance.
